Succulent Kokedama Care and Watering Guide

Kokedama is a beautiful Japanese art form that involves growing plants in moss-covered soil balls. Not only does it add a unique and stunning aesthetic to your space, but it's also believed to bring peace and tranquility, according to Feng Shui. But to keep your Kokedama lush and thriving, watering it the right way is essential. Follow these simple steps to ensure your plant stays healthy and vibrant.

Watering:

Let the weight be your guide! When it feels light, it's time to water, usually every 3-4 weeks. Soak the moss ball in a bowl of water for about 15 minutes, allowing it to absorb deeply. After soaking, let it rest in the sink or a tray for about an hour to drain off excess water. Put it on display once it's no longer dripping

Light:

Give it bright light. Succulents can also thrive in full sun.

Fertilizing:

For best results and faster growth, add a few drops of any liquid fertilizer once every 3 months.

Caring for Kokedama is more than just watering, it's about nurturing a living art form. With the right care, your Kokedama will remain a captivating addition to your space for 2-3 years. Once the plant overgrows the ball, you can simply tear it open and pot the plant in a bigger planter for further growth.

Your kokedama is a living thing, check on it like a quiet green friend!
